Your privacy matters to us. This Privacy Policy explains what data Soniq collects, why we collect it, how we use it, and your rights as a user. We do not sell your personal data.

What We Collect

We collect only the data necessary to provide and improve the Service. Below is a complete breakdown:

How We Use Your Data

Service Operation

Account information is used to authenticate you, maintain your session, associate your compositions with your account, and deliver the features you have subscribed to.

Anti-Abuse and Security

Device IDs and IP addresses are used to enforce usage rate limits, detect fraudulent activity, and protect the platform from abuse. This data is retained for no longer than 90 days for security purposes.

Publishing Administration

When you opt into publishing services, your legal name, PRO affiliation, and IPI number are used exclusively to register your compositions with the relevant Performing Rights Organizations and to administer royalty collection on your behalf. This data is shared only with the PROs necessary to process your registrations.

Aggregate Music Trend Analysis

We may analyze anonymized, aggregated usage patterns — such as popular genres, generation volumes, or feature usage trends — to improve the platform and understand musical trends. No personally identifiable information is included in this analysis.

Third-Party Service Providers

We use the following trusted third-party services to operate Soniq. Each provider has been evaluated for data handling practices consistent with this policy:

We do not permit these providers to use your data for their own marketing purposes. We enter into data processing agreements with providers as required by GDPR and applicable law.

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you have the following rights regarding your personal data. We honor these rights for all users globally, regardless of whether local law requires it.

Access Your Data

Delete Your Account

Permanently delete your account and associated data via Settings > Delete Account. Publishing records may be retained as required by PRO contracts.

Data Portability

Export your songs, compositions, and account data at any time via Settings > Export Data.

Opt-Out of Analytics

Disable anonymized usage analytics via the toggle in Settings > Privacy.

Correct Your Data

Update inaccurate account information directly in Settings, or contact us for publishing record corrections.

Restrict Processing

Request that we limit how we process your data in certain circumstances. Contact legal@nuwavmedia.com.

CCPA Rights (California Residents). California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete personal information, the right to opt-out of sale (we do not sell your data), and the right to non-discrimination for exercising these rights.

GDPR Rights (EU/EEA Residents). If you are located in the EU or EEA, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority if you believe we have handled your data improperly.

Soniq uses a minimal, privacy-first approach to cookies:

You can configure your browser to block or delete cookies at any time. Blocking session cookies will require you to log in on each visit.

Section 6

Children's Privacy

Soniq is intended for users who are at least 13 years of age. Users under 13 are not permitted to create accounts or use the Service. Users between 13 and 17 may access limited creative features of the platform with verifiable parental consent, but are not eligible for publishing services.

Publishing features require users to be at least 18 years old. By opting into publishing services, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.

If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided personal information without appropriate consent, we will delete that information promptly. If you believe a minor has used the Service improperly, please contact us at legal@nuwavmedia.com.
